What is Salvation ?

Luke 1: 67 His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied: Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come to his people and redeemed them.  He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),  salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us—

We saw in Rom 1:16 that it is the Gospel of Christ that releases the power of God unto salvation for those who believe.  It is critical to understand what salvation means.  Is it just to be saved from sin or does it apply to our trials today ?  Let’s see how God defines salvation.  Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and he prophesied that salvation is from our enemies.  Is your enemy sickness?  Pain?  Unemployment?  Financial need?  Broken relationships?  Sorrow?
