Luke 1:67-77 His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied: “… He has raised up a horn of salvation for us … salvation from our enemies …. 77 And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him, to give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins.
Rom 1:16 tells us the power of God unto salvation comes through the gospel of Christ. Luke 1 tells us that salvation is from our enemies. But what about sin? Verse 77 explains that Jesus gives us knowledge of salvation which is through the forgiveness of sins. When we are forgiven we are right with God and He is with us and not against us. If He is with us then which enemy can be against us?
