Many Christians know God is able to heal but are unsure of whether He is willing to heal. This was the case of a leper who came to Jesus. He did not doubt whether Jesus could heal him but he wasn’t sure if Jesus was willing to do so. He said to Jesus, if You are willing you can make me clean. Jesus could have just said ‘be healed’. But the Bible records for us what Jesus said which is “I am willing” so that we can be sure that He is willing.
Mark 1:40-42 Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
Maybe you are still not sure. Look at these two verses below and how Jesus healed ALL kinds of sicknesses and ALL kinds of diseases. In fact you cannot find any instance in the Bible where Jesus did not heal someone who came to Him.
Matt 9:35 Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Matt 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.
