Let’s continue with our thoughts about being a strong healthy flourishing cedar of Lebanon which we saw in Psalm 92. Remember that in order to be strengthened and renewed we must wait on the Lord. Wait in Hebrew is qavah which means to be intertwined with God.
Isa 40: He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint
Now we see how the Bible connects this for us. Psalm 104 tells us once again about the cedar of Lebanon. It says that we are planted and watered by the Lord. No wonder we flourish, are strengthened and refreshed no matter our challenges and circumstances.
Now pay special attention to the preceding verse which tells us how to be intertwined with God and receive God’s word upon us. Wine, oil and bread!
Psalm 104:15 wine that gladdens human hearts, oil to make their faces shine, and bread that sustains their hearts.
16 The trees of the LORD are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
The key is wine, bread and oil which all speak of Jesus. We will dive into this in depth in our next study together Stay tuned.
